It's hard to believe it's been 6wks since Lawson has entered our lives. He is changing so much every week. These pictures got posted newest to oldest, so you'll have to see him getting smaller. :) This week he has really started to smile at you when you talk to him. I tried to get a few pictures of it today, they are cute but not as cute as the real thing.

Easter Sunday I wanted so bad to get a good picture of all of us. This is the best I could get...needless to say, we are going this weekend to have them taken by someone else.

Here is how the picture taken started...now I know how my mom felt trying to get us to take family pictures growing up.

This past weekend we went to Kate's 1st birthday party. It was such a cute party. Here is the family with the easter bunny.

There was an easter egg hunt that the kiddos enjoyed. Here Landon is rehiding the eggs for Emory. Emory would pick the eggs up and put them back in Landon's basket.

This is our new way of taking our baths. Not only does it save time for me but it allows Landon to feel like he is taking a bath with Lawson. Lanson usually tries to help me wash him and then he hands him different toys for him to play with. Mostly the toys just sit on Lawson's tummy.

Last week we were in Tulsa for part of Llon's spring break. One night all the cousins got together to play. Landon enjoyed every minute with his cousins...we are still hearing stories from our visit.

Lawson loves sleeping on his tummy. Not to worry, I only let him do it during the day. This is how fast he is growing. The outfit in this picture is already too small for him....so sad.

The night we went to the hospital...just turned 38wks.

Lawson 1st visit to the doc office...just a weight check, good news..he gained 2oz in 2 days.

Lawson Mac Clendenen was born 2/23/10, weighing 8lbs 5oz and 19 1/2 inches. It's a good thing he didn't make it to his due date of 3/8/10, the doc said he would have been over 9 1/2lbs...WOW! Labor and delivery went well and we are home recovering without too many complaints. So far Lawson has been a really good baby. He likes to eat, which is a big difference than when Landon was a baby. Lawson has also been really good about sleeping a 4 or 5hr stretch at night, which is really nice. As long as he keeps gaining weight the doc says this isn't a problem. Landon is enjoying Lawson most of the time. :) When he wakes up in the morning he always looks for him and makes sure I know where 'baby Lawson' is. It has been an adjustment for Landon, but he really is doing well with him and sharing his parents. Landon has become protective of Lawson, he gets upset when he cries and asks mom to fix him. We have a lot going on in our house now...and loving every minute of it.

Christmas in Los Alamos

This year we spent Christmas in Los Alamos with Llon's family and had a very fun, relaxing time. It snowed one of the days we were there and while Llon was shoveling the driveway, Leta and Landon sledded down the driveway. It was cute to watch them. Landon enjoyed being spoiled by everyone. The other night at dinner I had cut open a pomegrante and told Landon it tasted kind of like a sweettart...well it got him to try it but now he thinks it is a sweetart. :)

Christmas Time

Last weekend we had a fun filled festive Saturday. Saturday night Llon and I took Landon to our towns candy cane hunt and lighting of the major's xmas tree. Santa was there and had many activites for the kiddos to do.

Saturday morning me and some girlfriends took our kiddos to breakfast with Santa. Here is Landon and Emory playing after storytime.

Frosty was there too, this was Landon's favorite...well until we got close then he would just bury his head in my shoulder. But he talked about Frosty all afternoon to daddy when we got home.

I got a little people nativity set this year for Christmas decor and Landon LOVES it. He loves finding Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, the Angel, etc. He will sit and play with it for a long time everyday...it never gets old to him. Yesterday he went and got a baby blanket and wrapped baby Jesus in it.

Landon enjoyed putting ornaments on the tree this year. He also enjoys taking them off and playing catch with the red balls. :)

Last week Landon and I made Christmas sugar cookies. It was a lot of fun and we both got really messy! Landon wasn't sure about getting the flour on him at first, he kept going over and getting a rag to clean himself up with. Soon he lost the battle of staying clean and we both just laughed about it.

Two of Landon's cousins came to see him a few weeks ago. They all had matching superman pj's...which is really funny b/c we didn't even plan it. Notice Landon is trying to do what his cousins are doing. :) I also have a cute video of them all flying around the house. It's a must for Landon to fly when he has on his superman pj's.

Lawson Update: Lawson is growing and moving like crazy, sometimes I feel like there must be 2 of them in there. Landon and him are beginning to bond the larger my belly gets. The other day I had a fitted shirt on and Landon came up to my belly, kissed and hugged it and said "oh...big baby". So there you have it, a 2yr doesn't lie...Lawson is getting big. :) Sometimes Landon refers to the baby as baby brother and sometimes he refers to it as baby Jesus. We've been reading a lot of books about baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, etc. so sometimes when we talk about babies he asks if it's baby Jesus. We have a doc appointment next week for my glucose test and then we'll start going every 2 weeks...that's right, every 2 weeks. I was certain the doctor was wrong, but she assured me that I was starting my 3rd trimester and that we are only 12weeks away!! Here is a pic of me at 25wks.

Sonshine School update

Sorry no pictures...just wanted to share with you the note that Landon's teacher sent home with him yesterday. Landon goes to our church Sonshine school Tuesday's and Thursday's. He is really enjoying it. The teachers are always good about sharing a little something about your child that they did that day. Here was Landon's from yesterday:

"Landon was being chased by the ladies today. :) Olivia and Addie were chasing him and pulling him around. He eventually got tired of that and played on the slide."

I wish I had a picture to go with it. When I asked him about it he smiled and buried his head in my shoulder like he was embarressed. How fast he is growing up...

We decorated a trunk for our church's trunk or treat, it was our first year to go to one so we didn't really know what to expect. Here is our booth of Humpty Dumpty. We dart guns for the kids to knock over humpty dumpty...can't go wrong with dart guns. :)

this literally happened in the short time that I brought a sack of groceries in and answered the phone. I noticed Landon was being awful quite, so I looked downstairs to see what was up and boy was he up to something. He was so proud of the pretty pictures he made on the wall. Good thing it was just chalk, him and daddy cleaned it up (which ended up being too much fun b/c he wanted to do it again :) ). You just can't help but love this little guy...never a dull moment.

Landon recently has really started enjoying playdoh. He loves to take cookie cutters and make different animals, shapes, etc with the playdoh. I found a dentist playdoh kit at a garage sale and of course Llon jumped in on the fun right away. Here are some pics of Llon teaching Landon about teeth and where they go in the mouth.

For those who have been around Landon know that Landon loves to talk. Here are 2 videos of him repeating words that mom and dad are saying. My favorite is yellow bus...everytime we are in the car he asks to see a yellow bus and gets so excited when he sees one. The other night in bed he was talking himself to sleep and mentioned yellow bus and started laughing (we love hearing his conversations at night thru the monitor). The other thing on one of these videos is Landon and Llon playing a game that Llon made up..it's called 'Oh Know'. Sometimes I hear Landon, thru the monitor, playing this game with his stuffed animals, when he is suppose to be napping. Makes me laugh everytime. :)

Landon's Birthday Party

Landon had his 2nd bday party a couple of weekends ago. We had gone to the party store a couple of mths ago to figure out what his party theme was going to be. Guess what the boy picked out...sharks. Which I'm totally fine with, but it is really hard to find happy sharks. I mean I couldn't do the mean...live looking sharks for a 2 yr old party (especially when most of his guests are younger than him :) ). So I did the best I could...it was more of an under the sea party. But the cake was a shark...which he loved! Now everytime he has cake he says..shark cake.

We all had a good time visiting and watching the kiddos play. I can't believe by baby is 2! He is growing up too fast. For those of you who don't know we are expecting baby number 2 March 8. We are all excited and can't believe we're doing this all over again. We had an ultra sound around 8wks and the heartrate was 133. Landon was 137 (if I'm remembering correctly)...so I'm predicting another boy. Which is great...we can get bunkbeds!! A girl would be great too...we just pray for a healthy baby.

Happenings in July

A few weeks ago the Niswangers asked a few of the guys to play in a Chiefs charity game. Rudy coached them and brought home the victory. The guys had such a great time and Landon had the best of time. There were a few other kids there that just played and played with Landon. Here is a picture of Rudy caring Landon during the game...Landon so badly wanted to go and play.

our sweet friends Jason and Jody found this free swingset for us. They not only found it, but went and got it, brought it to us, and helped us put it together. It was just too sweet of them. Landon LOVES it.

Yesterday was partly a sad day for the Clendenen house. We had to say goodbye to Uncle Jon and Aunt Leta...they moved to NM. Landon was very sad to see them go.

We've been having lots of fun in the water this summer. Last Friday we had lunch with daddy over at Crown Center and let Landon play in the fountains...he got a little scared when the fountains got real high, but over all he liked it.

Waterpark

We have a fun little neighborhood waterpark near us that we've been taking Landon to a few times already this summer. He just loves it. Here is a short video of him walking over the water...he just giggles. I haven't gotten on video, but he does this thing where he gets down in the water and walks with his hands and kicks his feet (I think he thinks he is swimming like the big kids). It's really funny to watch him...I'll try and get it next time.

Thomas the Train & Big boy bed

Well I wanted to start with Thomas the train, but these pics are first and I don't want to move them. :) We moved Landon into a twin bed a couple of nights ago...well for now it's just a twin mattress on the floor. And he loves it. It was so hard getting the sheets on the bed because he just kept jumping on it. So far he has done extremely well at night...goes right to bed and doesn't get out. As for naps...well it's been a little different. The first day I heard him playing in his room and I opened the door and said "get back in bed", it caught me by surprise b/c I didn't see him. So I listened quietly and soon realized he was in the closet with the door shut. I opened the closet and with the biggest grin on his face he said "BOO". It was too cute, all I could do was laugh. Shortly after I put him back in bed and he said pee pee potty (over the past couple of weeks he has been using this line...in church, resturants, timeout, and now naptime). So like any mom who has a toddler that is in the early stages of potty training...I took him to the potty where he did not go potty. :) After about 30mins he was finally asleep like my good little boy. So over all it's been a success. Here are Landon and daddy taking the baby bed down. Landon kept saying 'bye bye bed'.

We've been busier than ever at the Clendenen house and enjoying every minute of it. I'll just post the pics and video and let them tell the story....Enjoy!

Our good friends Pat and Holly were in town with their precious daughter Addison this past weekend. It was so good so see them and spend lots of time together. We had a little going away party for them since they were not able to come back to KC until now.

I was busy with baby showers all weekend so Landon and dad had some good old boy time. Llon and a few other guys from church took Landon to the Royals game. They claim Landon was great and wasn't much of a problem. They were giving out build a bear lions that day...so he even got a little treat to bring home.

We traveled a lot of Texas last week when Llon was off looking at practices. Here we are in League City, TX at the pool b/c it was stinken HOT. The pool made it very nice.

Leta graduated from Dental school May 9th. The fam was in town so we took them to the children's petting zoo. Landon loved everyone being there.

We went to the zoo with our friends Rudy and Patricia and their daughter Emory a couple of weekends ago. It was our first time at the KS zoo and it was pretty impressive.

We have 3 couples leaving our group this summer. We gave them a little going away party at the park and here is the pic of all of us. We will miss them all very much.

Llon and Jon's family were in town for Leta's graduation. We had a little free time Saturday morning so we took them to the children's petting zoo. It was too much fun!

So Landon is starting to realize when he has gone potty so I've started telling him that we go pee pee and poop poop in the potty. Here is a little video of Landon telling us where to go....now if we can just get him to do it. :) One day he will (at least that's what others are telling me)

Easter 2009

Easter was a huge hit this year. Landon actually hunted the eggs and enjoyed his Easter basket. We had a messy time dying eggs, not sure Landon really liked it...maybe next year he'll be a little more into it.

Mimi, Pa, and the Zoo

A couple of weeks ago Llon had to spend 2 weeks in Arizona taking a wire bending course. So Landon and I traveled around visiting family and friends. For some reason I only took pics at my parents house...sorry about that. We did enjoy seeing everyone else too.

So for those of you who have a boy and do not have any hot wheels...get them. No matter how old they are...get them. I for some reason didn't realize Landon was old enough to play with them, but my parents had some at their house and Landon spent hours...hours playing with them. He would line them up, drive them around, line them up again...he never got tired of them. So when we left my parents let us take them home with us...he still loves them and plays with them ALL the time.

Jon & Leta and Llon & I went on a hike one morning at the Napoli coast. It was beyond beautiful...words cannot express how amazing it was. We hiked 2 hrs one way to this small beach that you can only get to by hiking, we couldn't swim b/c it was too dangerous but it sure was beautiful there.

Kauai Trip Part 1

We had a wonderful time in Kauai last week with Llon's family. Everything was just great, we enjoyed family, the beach, hiking, fresh fruit, train ride, etc. Between Leta and I we have a lot of pics. So here is part 1...enjoy!

This is the first morning...it's 6am! I don't know if we were just excited or if it was part of the time change...but us 3 couldn't sleep. :) So we walked down the road to get breakfast.

This is part of the outside of our house that we stayed at. It was beautiful and just perfect for our family.

Landon's Playtime

Mimi and pa got Landon some boots for xmas (actually at thanksgiving). So needless to say they are getting a little snug on his feet. But that doesn't keep him from wanting to wear them. Yesterday he wanted to wear them with his sweatpants. So he played in them all morning...stomping around the kitchen floor...watching elmo...hiding in his tent...

We have recently discovered the fun play area at our nearby mall. It has all these soft cars the kids can play on and slide down or crawl thru. Landon just loves it. Not sure if it's the actual cars he enjoys more or the other kids.

2 weeks ago my roommate from college came down to visit. She has a 8wk old named Grant. Landon just loved him. He kept saying 'baby'.

For xmas Landon got a tball set from his cousins. We finally had a few nice days so we tried it out. It took a few trys, but he finally got the hang of it.

Fun Times with Landon

The other day I heard Landon yelling for me from his bedroom. When I went in, this is how I found him. He was rocking his dinosaur in his rocking chair and rocked too hard. After the rocker fell over he climbed on top and got stuck. Instead of trying to explain it to dad I just took a pic of him.

As you know from previous post, Landon sometimes has a crazy way of sleeping. Well here you go, this is how we found him the other night. Too cute not to capture. :)

Ski Trip

We recently went on our annual ski trip with some of our friends. This year we changed things up a bit. We went to Buena Vista where some good friends of ours has a cabin. The closest places for skiing were Monarch and Copper. We had 3 kiddos with us, which kept us all very busy. It was so fun watching them all play together. I was terrible taking pics but as soon as I get them from the other girls I will post them.

The things you will do to keep your kid entertained in the airport. Landon enjoyed helping the airport workers keep the bins picked up and just in case we were wondering he fit under the seat in front of us or the bins above our heads.

Christmas Time

Before we left we had about 4 or 5 inches of snow. Landon loved playing out in it. We bundled him up really well and let him have at it. He was sad when he had to come in, and watched daddy finish cleaning off the porch from the front door.

For those you who have gotten our annual newsletter you know that we have been traveling a lot over of the holidays. We enjoyed being with family and friends but am glad to be at home again. :) I was a terrible mom and forgot my camera while we were gone, so I only have pics of xmas from before our trip. (I'm really mad at myself for forgetting the camera) Before we left for our big travels we let Landon open his presents. We ended up letting him open 1 a day...this wasn't planned but I think he would have been too overwhelmed if we opened them all. He just wanted to open one and play with it...so that's what we let him do. The picture below explains how much he liked xmas this year. It didn't take him long to figure out that something fun was under the wrapping paper.

We spent xmas with the Losh family. We traveled to Arkansas and Tulsa to see everyone. Mimi Kari and PaPa taught Landon about cookies. Not only did he catch on to the word quickly he wanted one everytime he was hungry or saw them or saw someone else eating. It was really cute and hard to tell him no after his 9th cookie in one day. I wish I had pics to share but I don't. :( We drove xmas night to Austin for grandma Leota's wedding. We enjoyed seeing this side of the family as well. The wedding was beautiful and look forward to getting to know Ross better. Here is one pic I pulled off the website.

Last weekend we had some fun vistors. Ben and Kym Langford came to KC to visit a few people. They stayed with us a couple of nights. Landon really enjoyed their two boys, Eli (4) and Noah (2). He started sitting at his little table to eat and him and Noah were feeding each other. Shortly after eating they were pushing each other down...boys will be boys. They really did enjoy playing together.

Can you guess where Landon wants to eat his meals now? Since no one else is here mr. bear sits in the other chair...and yes Landon gives him a bite or two and of course a drink to wash it down.

Thanksgiving, Tulsa, Santa = long post

You have been warned, this could end up being a pretty long post...sorry. We spent Thanksgiving with Llon's family this year in Los Alamos and Deming, NM. We had a wonderful time seeing family and watching Landon get spoiled.

After NM we flew back to Tulsa where we had a fun time with the boys over the weekend. The boys made one pretty cool tent while we watched the football game Friday night. The plan was for us all to sleep down there...but that didn't happen. The tent was still a big success, the boys loved it!

Llon just loved playing with his cousins. I know he misses them already.

While we were in Tulsa my parents were there as well (mimi Kari and pa). They got Landon his 1st pair of cowboy boots and wranglers. I explain how cute he looks in them. He wore them to the xmas party and they were a huge hit. Thanks mimi and pa!

We had our church xmas party last weekend where a very special vistor and his wife stopped by to see the kids. Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped by to read the kiddos a story and pass out presents. It was so cute to see all the kids reactions. Landon didn't mind going and getting a present from him, but he wasn't excited about sitting on his lap. Every kid has at least one pic of them crying on Santa's lap...right? Saturday morning we got up and got to see Santa again for breakfast. We went with Patricia and Emory. Landon was a little better with Santa, but still didn't want to sit on his lap. And for Frosty the snowman...he didn't want anything to do with him. (I think it's b/c Frosty didn't give him a present :) )

We had lunch with dad today to celebrate his b-day. Landon ended up falling asleep so he missed most of the party. We took the card above, balloons (landon wanted them), a cookie cake, and of course Oklahoma Joe's BBQ. The other residents enjoyed the cake. I'm not sure if you can see it but Llon's shirt says "I've got an Awesome dad". I thought it was very appropriate for today. Happy Birthday Llon!

So Landon has started this new thing where he likes to hide things. The other day we were picking up his puzzle pieces and we looked all over the house for them and couldn't find them. A couple of days later I looked in this pail next to our fireplace and guess what I found! :) Yesterday he was putting them behind the couch...what will be next...

I'm afraid Landon might have a little bit of a temper. He was playing with his tractor the other day and he was standing up bending over pushing his little tractor and the tractor tipped up and he fell a little. He stood up, picked up the tractor and thru it up against his closet door. I got on to him and then he did it again...he was so mad at that tractor. I finally just had to make him leave his room. Not sure what to do to help him with his frustration...any advice?

Last weekend we went to Oklahoma for a baby shower and I decided to film Landon a little bit. This is how Landon is most of the time we get in the car. He just talks...talks...talks. Even though I can't understand him most of the time, he just carries on a conversation...laughing...and jabbering. Enjoy!

We went and had lunch with Llon today at school. Well here it is already October....the 9th...I can't believe it. I know I say that on every post, but it really is amazing to me how fast the days go by. Over the last couple of weeks we have had some fun times. We got babysitt sweet Miss Emory. Landon was so excited he didn't want to take a nap that morning. He would go get toys and put them on the blanket for her, it was really cute. He also liked to pat her on her head...why...not sure, but he was obsessed with it. Here are some pics from that morning:

This one is for great grandpa Mac. Grandpa Mac loves this muffin mix, he would often buy it for me when I was at college. Well they quit selling it in Oklahoma and we have been without it for a few years now. Landon and I were at the grocery store here in KS and as you can guess we found the muffin mix. So we bought 15 boxes...that's all they had on the shelf...we gave 12 boxes to great grandpa Mac and kept 3. Landon is a big fan of them...he takes a bit and says 'mmmmm'. So Grandpa Mac this pic is for you.

We went to Eureka Springs for a wedding one weekend. My camera died before I got a family pic.

Landon was surprised by a present from mimi (grandma Kari) and pa (grandpa Ron). He got a pirate tent in the mail the other day. It's a tent that just pops up. When I was opening it and it popped up Landon goes 'wow'. He immediately crawled inside. Soon after he moved some toys in there to play.

This is Landon's new way of eating...he refuses to sit in his highchair anymore...and it's driving mommy and daddy crazy. The strap just won't get tight enough around his waist, so he just wiggles his way out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how to keep him sitting down.

Is he walking? Is he not? As of Monday, he has been walking. The 1st time he walked about 8-10 steps to me and didn't fall. I'm convinced he has been practicing when I'm not watching or when he is in the nursery at church. He does best when he has a drink or toy or something in his hands. I think it just makes him feel secure. I've been trying to get it on video for everyone, but haven't gotten a good one yet. Here is one that shows it a little. Enjoy!

Our little helper...elephants...and a new cabinet

Last week Landon was such a good helper to mommy and daddy. He loves helping with the dishes, whether they are clean or dirty, he enjoys taking them in and out of the dishwasher. He has been such a big climber these days, here he climbed up on the dishwasher door to get the dishes. (I have to admit, it was pretty cute)

He by know means was helping here, but rather making a huge mess. He loves going in the bathroom and getting the toliet paper off the roll. I was just a little too slow this day...he got the whole roll off. He was having such a good time. :)

We ended up keeping the diaper box b/c he and dad were having so much fun with it. He likes to put things in it and move it around the house.

The circus was in town last weekend and one of my friends called me to tell me to come down and see the elephants come off the train. So, like any crazy mom who would want there child to see the elephants, we went. It was so cute and all Landon could say was 'WOW'

The last thing...Llon finished our tv cabinet!!! For graduation Landon got his dad rockband. The problem was that the rockband was sitting out all the time and Landon was always getting into it. We looked and looked for a cabinet with doors that it would fit in...we had no luck. So a couple of months ago Llon decided to build one...and here it is. It is absolutely beautiful! I am so proud and happy that it is done. He did such a good job that now I want matching end tables...some day...maybe after ortho school. :)

Where did August go? I cannot believe that it is already September...getting colder...rainy weather...Fall is coming. I have been terrible about taking pictures of Landon this month, so I don't have many to share..sorry. This past month we have done a lot of traveling. We visited my parents in Little Rock; the Briscoes and Philips in Longview; my brothers and grandparents in Tulsa; and went to the lake with some friends. We don't have a lot trips planned this month, but before we know it the holidays will be here and we'll be traveling again. The good thing is we enjoy traveling and Landon usually does pretty well. This past month Landon has gotten 2 of his molars in, both on the left side (one top and one bottom) and soon to have a matching set on the other side. We all will be glad when they come in. :) Landon is also saying a few more words...well they kind of all sound the same...but we'll give him credit. He is saying ball and actually goes and gets the ball. He can say baby, wow, woe, wee...haha I'm cracking up at myself that I'm writing this. He isn't interested in walking at all, he is still doing the usually walking along everything and walking holding your hand. The big thing that he is into is climbing...AHHHH...it's making me nervous. Just yesterday he was sitting in his highchair just eating like a big boy and when I turned around he was climbing out of it. He was actually standing on the tray. Scared me...and when I ran over there to get him he just started laughing, like it was some game. He climbs all over his toys and trys to climb in his baby bed. I usually have a blanket, small pillow, and his dinosaur in his bed. Well he likes to pile them up and stand on top them all....I just know he'll be climbing over the side in no time. That's right, Landon turned 1 on August 1st. I know I've said it before, but it really is hard to believe. Our little boy is no longer a baby...but a toddler. Today we had his 1yr checkup. Everything went well....except for of course the 4 shots he had to get. It just breaks my heart, he is so happy and smiling so nice at the nurse and bam she sticks him. It really is a sad thing to experience. But the important thing is that it is keeping him from getting sick. He weighed in at 21.7lbs and was 29.5 inches. He is staying consistent, being in the 20% for weight and 70% for height. He isn't walking yet, but yesterday he stood by himself a few times for about 2-3 seconds. :) He continues to walk along the furniture and with his toys, sometimes he will even walk holding our hands. We did have a little party for Landon last week. Landon had his own little cake and I just knew he was going to dive into it and make a complete mess. But he didn't, he just poked at it and then put his hands in his lap. It was pretty cute. His daddy did feed him cake with a spoon and he liked it. Here are some pics.

So I can't tell you how many people have asked me if Landon is walking yet...I took this little video of him. He isn't walking by himself, but he will walk with one of his toys....does that count?

This past weekend we traveled to Weston,Vermont for Llon's uncle Gary's wedding. It was just beautiful and we had the best time. It was nice just being around family and showing Landon to everyone. Here are a few pics from our trip:

After the wedding Grandma Leota came and stayed a couple of nights with us. We enjoyed her visit and of course while she was here she spoiled Landon by getting him a little lawn mower. The other day Landon was suppose to be sleeping and I heard this knocking sound coming from his bedroom. So I peeked through the door and saw this, it's hard to tell from the picture but he is pounding his hand on the wall and reaching up to grab his pictures. (Guess mom and dad weren't thinking right when we hung those pictures up...I mean it's not like I try and get my pictures down from above my bed.) :)

Llon and I found Landon a little chair that sits on the back of Llon's bike so that we can enjoy bike riding again. I have to admit Landon looks pretty cute in it. I found him a little helmet for him to wear as well. Llon and Landon have gone a few times, but the other day I was able to go with them for the first time. Landon just loved it.

And I just had to post this one as well. Landon is getting a little braver and now stand with just one had on things.

Happenings in May

What a busy month May was for the Clendenen Family. We started the month off by getting things together for Llon's graduation. That's right...Llon graduated Dental School a couple of weeks ago. We cannot believe how fast it flew by. We are so proud of him for this accomplishment. During this month we have been able to spend a lot of time with family. Llon's mom, Llon's cousin Sharon, my brother and their families were here for graduation. Then after graduation we were able to take a little road trip to visit my parents in Arkansas, see a few friends in Texas, and go to Tulsa to see my grandparents. Below are some pics from the month.

I'll start with the 9mth checkup. First, I can't not believe that Landon is 9mths old. It's hard to believe that he has grown so fast. Landon is now crawling up on all 4's and is starting to pull up on things as well. Landon's checkup went really well. He is up to 19lbs and 29 1/4in long. His height is in the 75% and weight is 25%. The doctor told us not to be concerned about his weight, he feels that he is taking after his daddy! :) No shots during this visit...whohoo...just a little stick of the fingers for them to take blood. Overall he is a healthy...healthy growing little boy.

Happy Easter everyone. Here is Landon hunting eggs for the first time at our Annual Easter Egg Hunt. One of our friends was the easter bunny, so we had to get a picture with her. Landon was very excited about his 1 blue egg that he found.

I have officially started my new job as of last week. Landon and I traveled to Dallas last week for me to meet my new boss and teammates. My parents were very excited to meet me in Dallas so they could take care of Landon while I was gone during most of the day. Landon was very spoiled by mimi and pa, somehow he ended up with more toys and clothes. :) I am sad to say that I didn't take any pictures while we were there...I don't know what I was thinking. Not too worry, I have plenty of pics to show you. Last week Llon and I tried to go and get our picture taken as a family and also some of just Landon...well I'll just say that just b/c you have a coupon for a free picture doesn't mean that the pictures will turn out good. That's all I will say, so for my friends here in Kansas City...do you know of any good photographers? Below are my attempts of taking some Easter pics of Landon. Landon continues to grow more and more each day/week. Llon and I are just speechless on how much he changes. Landon officially has not 1 but 2 teeth now. The first one broke through the day before his 6mth b-day (can't remember if I posted that), but 2 days ago I noticed the one right next to it has broken through too. It's kind of hard to see them b/c when we go to look he always puts his tongue over them. But if you get him laughing and smiling...you can see them. I'll try and get pics of them to post.

6mth Update and Ski Pictures

First off I'll start with the pictures from the ski trip. We had such a great time and enjoyed the weather and being around our friends. They all seemed to enjoy Landon and didn't mind that he spent the weekend with us. Landon was very spoiled by all the attention and enjoyed playing with everyone. Llon and I both were able to ski, we just took turns watching Landon.

Landon had his 6mth checkup appointment today...yes that means more shots for the little guy. He was very tough and only cried a little bit. He weighed in at 16lb 5oz (45%) and his height was 27in (75%). The doctored commented that it looked like he was going to have his daddy's height. Overall he was very pleased with how he was progressing. Landon is eating veggies and fruit now, along with his cereal and oatmeal. The doctor said no juice till he was 12mth but that we could give him a little water, but it wasn't necessary since I'm still nursing. I was totally surprised by the whole juice thing, for some reason I was thinking that at 6mth he could have it. Guess we'll have to wait till he is closer to a year. The doctor said that he would probally be crawling around 8mth...which made me really sad, that's only 2mths away. (maybe he'll be late at doing this :) ) Landon has his first tooth that has broken the skin, it's just barely showing. I noticed it last Thursday, one day before his 6mth b-day. Landon also has his first cold...which Llon and I were both afraid that it was going to happen. Llon was really sick last week so we are sure he got sick from him. The good thing is that he doesn't have much of a fever with it, he just has a runny nose and a terrible...terrible cough. The doctor wasn't too worried since he didn't have a fever, but I still don't like it. Lastnight we didn't get much sleep, up ever hour. Poor Landon, everytime he would put his pacier in his mouth he couldn't breath. It was making him very frustrated and then the coughing would start. The bad news is the doctor said that this could last up to 2 weeks. Hopefully it won't and he will be better tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest. Well that's about it. Once Landon feels better I'll post some 6mth pictures.

Landon is growing so fast, I just can't believe it. I can't believe that in a couple of weeks he will be 6mth old. For the past 2 weeks Landon has been able to sit and play with his toys, he is doing so well at it. He still falls over some...especially when his daddy comes in the room and gets him all excited. He is eating a lot better these days and we can actually see a little chubbiness in him now. :) He is eating a little bit of fruit (bananas, peaches, pears) but he would much rather have his veggies (squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, peas, greenbeans). Which I think is just too funny...don't most kids like the fruit the most? Oh and he is eating oatmeal, but we doesn't like it when you add any fruit to it. A few times I've tried to add bananas to it and he just spits them out...it's funny to watch. The doctor said to try things at least 10 times before we give up...so that's what I'll do I guess. He continues to sleep really well at night and during his naps. The last couple of weeks he has been talking a lot (or should I say making a lot of noise like he is talking) He just sits and plays with his toys and makes all kinds of noises to them. I love it when he sucks on his foot, takes it out, talks a little, and then puts his foot back in his mouth. It's like he is carrying on a conversation with his foot...so silly to watch. His personality is starting to show a little more. Last night Llon and I put him to bed and we turned his little fish aquariam on and before we could leave the room he reached over and turned it off. Llon and I stopped went back over there turned it on and Landon reached over and turned it off. It was so funny, he just smiled each time we did this like it was some kind of game. Eventually we gave up and left it off. When we went to check on him 10 mins later the fish was on and he was sound a sleep. Guess he just wanted to be a big boy and turn it on himself. Christmas has come and gone...can you believe it? I feel like we have just been running around the last couple of weeks and unfortunately we will be running around the next couple of weeks. This is just a busy..busy time for us. Ok, back to Christmas. We spent Christmas with Llon's family in Abilene, TX. Landon went on his first plane ride and did very well. He ended up sleeping most of the time. We were able to spend lots of time with his grandparents, cousins, sisters, and mom. Like always, we really enjoyed our visit. Here are some pictures from our trip, sorry the pictures are out of order...but at least I updated! :)

4mth Old Update

I can't believe my little man is 4mths old. We had his checkup on Monday, Dec 3. He was right at the 50% for both weight and height. His stats are: height - 25in, weight - 14.8lbs. The doctor said that he was developing very well and that he was a very healthy boy. Landon can roll from his back to his front (both sides) and can roll from his tummy to his back...mommy just isn't sure that he means to do that one. :) Landon continues to sleep through the night and is starting to take only 2 naps a day instead of 3. The doctor said that we can start feeding him baby food and cereal on a spoon whenever we were ready. Landon continues to drool alot...but still no teeth (I guess daddy was right). His doctor said it would still probably be another month or two before we actually see one. It's a good thing that daddy is the dentist and not mommy, b/c mommy was sure that one was going to pop up soon. Here are some pictures from last Sunday (Dec. 2). We decided to go ahead and try taking a family photo in front of our tree. Most of pictures (not shown) are of Landon just looking at the tree. It was so funny b/c we would get ready to take the picture and right before the picture took, he would look away. Next time we will have to get someone else to take the picture instead of using our timer. Enjoy the pics!

Landon's 1st Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we spent time with the Losh/McMurray Family. We spent a couple of days in Tulsa seeing my grandparents and then headed to Arkansas where we met my brother and there family at my parents house. It was the first time in a long...long time that we had all been together for longer than 5 mins. It was a good time playing games and watching the kiddos play. Here are a few pictures from that weekend.

In Arkansas we all made Llon prepare the turkey for Thanksgiving Lunch. It was a funny...funny site seeing Llon. He had no idea what all had to be done to get it ready. He thought you just bought it and stuck it in the oven. Just look at the expression on his face.

After all that hard work, the boys were exhausted and needed a nap.

KU Basketball Game

A couple of weeks ago we took Landon to his 1st KU basketball game. KU played UMKC...which wasn't much of a game, KU beat UMKC pretty bad. But all in all it was still fun. Landon enjoyed the lights in the gym and ended up falling asleep for most of it. Grandma Leota was in town this week and Uncle Jon and Aunt Leta all went with us to the game. Landon's 1st Halloween

I know that Halloween has come and gone, but I figured I would still share it with you guys. Sorry it has been so long since I've posted. I've started back working from home and have been really busy. Landon's first halloween wasn't too eventful. Llon was in Dallas for an orthodontic interview so Landon and I decided to just stay home and hand out candy at our house. We only had 11 tricker treaters, but Landon enjoyed seeing all the costumes. We didn't buy Landon a costume this year, with Llon being gone I wasn't sure we would even do anything. So here are a couple from my nephews that I put on him.

The Pumpkin Patch

Saturday was a fun day at the pumpkin patch!! There was a petting zoo, a little hayride, and a big pumpkin patch area with big and real tiny pumpkins. A couple of our friends met us out there who have some kiddos as well. They were are so cute. Here are some pictures:

Busy..Busy

Sorry everyone that it has been 2 weeks since I've updated. (Although it was kind of nice to know that people noticed. ) :) We have been so busy with all sorts of stuff. Llon has been getting ortho interviews, we went to visit family, and mommy got a 24hr bug that was not fun. (thankfully noone else in the house got it) Llon has been to 2 interviews now, Iowa and St Louis. He still has UMKC, Baylor, Houston, and LSU; which he will make those trips in the next 3 weeks. It will be nice when he is done with this and we know where we will be going to school. He has been presented some really good schools and we are honored that he has gotten so many interviews. We are just praying that God will lead us where he wants us to be during ortho.

Two weekends ago, we made a trip back to Tulsa to visit the cousins. My nephew Dylan had a special homecoming football game. He is in 6 grade now...the oldest in elementry. So this homecoming event was very special for him. He played such a good game. Landon enjoyed cheering for him...ok, not exactly cheering...but he did make noises and smiled. It's hard to believe but little Landon will be 11 weeks tomorrow. He is just getting so big. I've had many people comment on how he doesn't look like a newborn anymore. It's kind of sad, but we are enjoying each stage so far. He is starting to play with his toys a little more. He is holding things in his hands and sometimes will even grab for his toys. The other day he was waving his arms around and pushed a button on one of his musical toys. He froze and then smiled. It was pretty cute. He is still smiling a lot and laughing. His daddy can get him to laugh pretty hard sometimes. He is starting to drole a lot now and he sucks on his arm, or my arm, or basically anything that he can put in his mouth...I think that he could be starting to prepare himself for a little tooth. But his daddy still thinks it's too early. We'll see whose right in a few weeks...mommy or daddy the dentist? :) His new favorite toy right now is his musical aquiriam that his mimi and pa got him a couple of weeks ago. He will just lay and watch it for a long time, sometimes he will even fall asleep to it. Here is a picture of it:

Here he is in his johnny jump, he doesn't jump, just wiggles his legs. But he does enjoy being in it.

We also tried the exersaucer out...I don't think he likes this very much yet. Or it could be that we were trying too many new things at once. Sometimes mommy and daddy get too excited about Landon's toys.

1st Royals Game and 2mth checkup

Last Friday we took Landon to his 1st Royals game. Mommy dressed him up like a little baseball player (one of his cousins old outfits) and off we went. He was by far the cutest player there and got many looks and comments from strangers. Landon stayed awake for most of the game, he took a little nap between the 5-8 inning. Then woke up just in time to watch the end of the game and fireworks. We couldn't believe how well he did, he just looked around at all the lights. Here are some pics from the game:

This was taken earlier that afternoon, before the game. He ended up not wearing this outfit because...well...he pooped on it. :)

Since this was Landon's 1st game, the Royals gave him a little certificate with his name on it.

Landon's 2mth checkup appointment was yesterday and the doctor thought everything looked good. He weighed 11lb 7oz, which is in the 45% of his age, and his length was 23inches which was 50% of his age. We were all very happy with the outcome. It's hard to believe that he once weighed a little over 7lbs. He also got his first round of shots, it was very hard for his mommy and daddy to see him cry so hard...but we just had to remind ourselves that the shots are good for him and will prevent him from being sick. Well that's all for the update on his 2mth appointment. Here are some pictures from last week.

Almost 8 weeks old

I can't believe that our little boy is going to be 8 weeks old this week. He is just growing up too fast. He weighed in this week at 10lbs 12.5oz and 24inches long. We had a busy week last week. Llon had an ortho interview in Iowa City and Landon and I decided to tag along with him. The interview went really well for Llon and he was impressed with the program. We spent some time and walked around the town one evening. It's not a very big town but we liked it. It is a true college town and you can just feel the support the town gives to the university. Who knows if we will end up there or not, we are just praying that God will lead us to where He wants us to be. Here are some pictures from Iowa (the first couple are us in the hotel, but they are still cute) and others from earlier in the week.

This picture didn't turn out exactly like I thought it would, it was much cutier in person. Today after church Llon was holding Landon and Landon was just laughing at him.

We decided to try out Landon's bumpo chair to see if he was big enough and he was. He looks so cute just sitting there.

So for the past few days (or maybe it's been a week now...time is flying by :) ) I've been wanting to get a picture of Landon smiling. He smiles so much now and I want to share it with our friends and family who don't get to see Landon very often. Below are a few of the smiles I have captured.

This one is actually from a young marrieds retreat that Llon and I went on the last 2 days. It was Landon's first time to stay the night in a hotel. He got a whole queen size bed all to himself!

This is my attempt to get him to play with his toys. Usually it just consists of me sitting his toys all around him and making them dance in front of his face. He doesn't have too big of a reaction yet, he just stares at them. It was really cute last week when I was making his frog talk to him and dance, the facial expressions that he had were so funny. It's like he was thinking "What are you doing Mr. Frog"

So lately Landon we have been having this problem with Landon where he poops right through his diapers. It's funny b/c the majority of the time he poops on daddy. One time he managed to poop all over daddy's shirt and shorts, but didn't get a spot on his own clothing...it was amazing b/c it was a lot of poop on daddy. The picture below is from last week when I just got through feeding him and I sat him down for only a minute to wash up and when I turned around this is what I saw. (I know...I know, it's funny that I would even take the time to take a picture and let my poor son sit with poop all over him. But I knew the story wouldn't be as good without the picture...I needed evidence so that you wouldn't think that I was exaggerating).

Landon just loves his bathtime, it makes him so relaxed. This one time he actually fell asleep while we were bathing him. It was funny b/c no matter how much water we put on him, he wouldn't wake up.

Last week the 'fam' went on our first walk around the neighborhood. Llon decided that he would just wear his carrier instead of getting the stroller out. Landon isn't quite big enough for it, usually his head is covered up by the carrier. But we rigged it up so that he could look around. He enjoyed the walk for oh...about 10 mins and then back asleep he went. We haven't found anything yet that doesn't put him to sleep. :)

These are just some random pictures of Landon that I thought everyone would enjoy. Just a quick update on Landon. I can't remember if I posted this already, but as of 1.5 weeks ago Landon weighed 9lbs 15.5oz. I can't believe our little boy is getting so big...Dr. Nelson will be so proud of him. Before we left for the retreat on Friday, Landon official slept in his big boy crib 3 nights in a row. It was really hard on mommy and daddy to transition him into his room...but we knew it would be for the best. Landon didn't seem too mind at all, he actually is sleeping an extra hour. I'm not really sure why it was so hard for us to put him in the other room...it just felt like our little man is growing up and already doesn't need us as much. Landon continues to be an excellent sleeper (this he definately gets from his daddy!!). We usually put him to bed between 9-10pm and the first time he gets up is around 3-4pm (expect for the past 3 nights when he has lasted till 5am) and then he goes back to sleep until about 7 or 8am. Hopefully he will continue to keep this up. Landon is getting so good about holding his head up and really focusing on things...when we talk to him now, he actually looks at you and has some kind of cute expression.

Road Trip to Tulsa

Llon and I made a last minute decision to go to Tulsa this past weekend with Landon. This was his first road trip and he was an excellent little boy. On the way back yesterday we didn't even have to stop, he slept pretty much the whole way. Great Grandma and Grandpa got to see Landon and so did Uncle Travis and Aunt Keri for the first time. We were also able to get all the cousins together. It was so fun having them all together. Someday Landon will be able to play with them. I thought I had more pictures than this to share, but I must have taken most of the pictures with my grandpas camera. Enjoy the pictures below.

4 weeks and 1 day old

Last weekend we went to the Overland Park Botanical Gardens. Friday night on the news they were talking about it and Llon suggested that we go, so on Saturday afternoon we drove out there. It was beautiful and very peaceful, we really enjoyed just walking around. I took my camera, but forgot to take pictures. But I'm sure we will be going back out there, so I'll take some then.

Landon continues to be a pretty good baby. He is starting to eat more during his feedings which is causing him to finally gain some more weight. We haven't gone to weigh him since last week, but I know he has gained some because he is starting to get heavier and he is filling his clothes out. He still has a little ways to go before he is out of his newborn, but he is only 4 weeks old. This past week I've tried to get him to play with some of his toys when he is on his tummy, but he didn't care too much for them. He just looks around and kicks his legs. Twice in one week

That's right, an update twice in one week!! Landon had a 3 week check up yesterday and he has finally gained some weight. His birth weight was 7lbs 10oz and he is now up to 8lbs 3 oz, he gained 9 ounces in 1 week. Good job little man!! The doctor also put him on some medicine to help with his acid reflux, so far he has been able to keep all his milk down for about 30 hours (that's at least 10+ feedings). Mommy and Daddy are very proud of their little boy.

So far Landon seems to enjoy his tummy time. He really likes it when I put my hand on his feet so he can push off of them.

Update...long over due

I know, it's been way too long since I've updated this blog. So much has happen, I don't even know where to start. I will just start by saying that Llon and I got pregnant in Nov 2006 and we just had our little boy on August 1, 2007. Landon Leon (after Llon's dad) weighed 7lb 12oz and was 19 1/4 inches long. He is just precious, Llon and I could just sit and stare at him all day if we could. Landon is now almost 3 weeks old and is handling life pretty well. He is an excellent sleeper (just like his daddy). Hopefully he will keep it up, but if he doesn't it will be ok. At his 2 week appointment we found out that he has really bad acid reflex. It hadn't really been a problem until this last week, where he tends to project his vomit everywhere. We have started putting rice cereal in his milk to help thicken it up so that it will stay in his tummy. We go back to the doctor tomorrow, so hopefully the doctor will have some good advice. If anyone out there has any experience or advice on how to handle this, please let me know. When he vomits it doesn't seem to bother him, but his mommy gets really sad seeing her boy vomit. Llon's Spring Break...TTown

Two weeks ago was Llon's spring break and we spent the week at my grandparents house in T-Town. With my job being so flexible, I was able to work in Tulsa at my grandparents house for the week. Let's just say that my conference calls were pretty interesting with the bird clock chirping in the background. :) Everybody on the phone got a kick out of it. Thanks Grandpa! It was really nice spending quality time with my grandparents. Usually when we go to Tulsa it's only for the weekend, and we are running around trying to spend time with everyone. Llon was able to take my grandpa to radiation treatment everyday, while I stayed home with grandma and worked. While we were in Tulsa, we also made time to spend with Wes, Niki, Dylan, and Owen. Wes and Niki are in the market of looking for a new home to buy, so Llon and I tagged along as they looked at new homes.

3 Nephews, 1 Niece

About a month ago, Travis and Keri came down from Ohio to Tulsa to visit everyone. Llon and I weren't able to go until the weekend, but we still enjoyed the time that we were able to spend with them. We all went to Dylan's basketball game and cheered him on. We all got really excited when he scored...WAY TO GO DYLAN!! Afterwards we went to grandma and grandpas house and enjoyed a nice quite dinner together. (well it wasn't exactly quite...remember we have 3 nephews and a niece :) ) It was so much fun to see all the kids playing together. I can't believe how big they are all getting. They are soooo cute!

Over new years, we spent the weekend up in Llon's hometown in Los Alamos, NM. Leonda, Leta, Llon and I spent one day skiing. Throughout the day we would come back to the cabin where Leota always had good snacks waiting for us. With Llon and I living in Kansas city and being so busy, we don't get as much time as we would like on the slopes. So we always jump at any opportunity we may have.
I forgot to add a picture to the Christmas blog, so I'll add it to this one. As we were traveling from Los Alamos to Lubbock, we stayed at an Embassy Suites on the way. Below is a picture of all of us. It's so cute...I just had to add it. :) (Leota..I love the umbrella! :))

Christmas Time!

I know I am posting this late...but I figured it's better late than never. Over the Christmas holiday, we traveled with Llon's family, Leota, Leonda, and Leta to Lubbock, TX. We spent a few days with Llon's grandparents, aunt/uncle, and cousins families. We really enjoyed everything the family had planned for us while we were there. They took us horseback riding, night hunting, flying over their land, we played games and ate...a lot! We enjoyed going to everyone's house and seeing where they lived. It was so nice and relaxing hanging out with everyone. Thank you so much for having us, we appreciate everything you guys have done for us. We Love You! Below are pictures from the trip.

Leta's ENGAGED!!

Over Thanksgiving break, Leta, Llon's sister, got engaged!! Leta went to Edmond, Oklahoma to spend Thanksgiving with Jon's family. That Friday she calls to announce their engagement. We picked Leta up at the airport on Sunday night with a surprise. When Leta got off the plane, she was welcomed back by Llon, Lori, a veil, and a sign that said "Welcome Home Bride-To-Be". We are so excited for Jon and Leta!!

Indianapolis....Ohio

We spent the last weekend visiting Lori's parents in Indianapolis and Lori's brother, Travis, and his family in Ohio. We got in late Friday night, after a good nights rest, we headed to Columbus to see Travis, Keri, Payton, and Jackson. It was a short 3 hour trip. When we arrived, Payton and Jackson greeted us at the door. Their little faces were so cute when they saw us. I can't believe how fast they are growing up. While we were there, we decided to give the kids there presents. They both enjoyed their toothbrushes, clothes, and toys they received. We also got to see Travis and Keri's new house while we were there. It was adorable! That evening we started back to Indianapolis. Little did we know, the trip lasted a little longer than 3 hours. It had started to sleet and there were wrecks everywhere. After sitting on the highway for 3 hours (in one spot), we talked Lori's dad into going off in the ditch and turning around. We stopped at the gas station where they told us that I-70 was closed until the next day because of the roads. We ended up having to take the back roads all the way to Indianapolis. The trip took us 8 hours to get back to Lori's parents house. It was exhausting!!

Thanksgiving in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Llon and Lori spent Thanksgiving with Lori's grandparents and brother, Wes, and his family in Tulsa. Thanksgiving day we played with the kiddo's, watched some football and ate dinner at Wes and Niki's house. Friday, Niki talked Lori into getting up real early to catch all the bargains at the stores. 4:30am came real early, by mid-afternoon Niki and Lori were really tired. Friday we had another lunch at Lori's grandparents. We had a really good time spending time with everyone.

With Llon and Leta busy with Dental School, it was hard to find a little time to celebrate Halloween. But Lori was able to convince them to do a little pumpkin carving. Earlier that weekend Llon and Lori went to a Halloween party with their friends from church. Lori dressed up as a lumberjack and Llon was the forest. We had a lot of fun playing games, eating, and singing around the campfire. The weekend before Halloween, John (Leta's boyfriend) came up and we all went to a haunted house downtown. The haunted house was in an old warehouse downtown with scary people all around. Llon and Lori were in the back of the group and screamed.....a lot!! Both of our hearts were pounding so hard.

Life in Kansas City

We have been in Kansas City now for 17 months and enjoying every minute of it. Llon is finishing his 2nd year of Dental School and is excited that he only has one semester left of full time classes. Llon will begin seeing patients in May full time for 2 years. He will take his boards sometime in July of 2006. Lori is still working for Cerner, a medical software company in North Kansas City. Lori is a system engineer who builds interfaces for Cerner's clients. She enjoys the interaction with clients and also the challenges that interfaces can bring.

Our home projects are coming along...we have started finishing our basement. The walls are up and the plumbing is done. The next big step is getting the shower walls up and tiled. We are hoping to have things completed next fall.

Leta, Llon's younger sister, started Dental School this last September. We are enjoying having her in town. Over Thanksgiving, Leta and John got engaged. No dates or locations have been set, Llon and Lori are still pushing Hawaii. :)

Trip to Jamaica

In May 2005, Llon and Lori traveled to Jamaica with Tim and Dayna Wrinkle. We spent 4 days at the Montego Bay Sandals Resort. We had so much fun snorkeling, tubing, kayaking, sailing, and hydrobiking. Llon learned how to windsurf too. Eachday there was a different theme and plenty of activites to keep us busy. The most popular was the sand volleyball. We enjoyed spending time with Tim and Dayna and hope to have more vacations in the future with them.

The Wedding

Llon Hurst Clendenen and Lori Lynn Losh were united in marriage at the Five Oaks Lodge, in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Sunday July 25, 2004. Llon is the son of Leota Clendenen and the late Dr. H. Leon Clendenen of Los Alamos, NM. Llon is a 1998 graduate of Los Alamos High School and a 2003 graduate of Oklahoma Christian University, receiving a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Lori is the daughter of Ron and Kari Losh of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lori graduate from Berryhill High School (Tulsa) in 1998 and received a BS in Computer Science from Oklahoma Christian University in 2003. The wedding took place on a deck of a log cabin over looking a lake, where Lori’s father often took her and her brothers fishing growing up. The wedding ceremony was performed by a close friend, Brent Nichols, college minister of Edmond Church of Christ. Kacey Cliburn was the matron on honor; the other bride’s attendants were Tandy Layton, Leta Clendenen, Leonda Clendenen, and Payton Losh (flowergirl). Honorary best man was H. Leon Clendenen; the other groomsmen were Dylan Losh, Ben Waller, Josh Guess, Preston Watterson, and Jerad Lovett. Following the wedding a reception was held for the couple in the lodge, where for the first time Llon performed a song that he had written for his bride. The bride and groom were sent off in a small fishing boat for the Five Oaks Bed and Breakfast. Following a honeymoon in Cozumel, the couple resides in Kansas City. Llon is attending dental school at UMKC and Lori is working as a system engineer at Cerner Corporation.
